Sincerely comma
2017

'Sincerely comma' was motivated by my VISA application process in early 2017. I was sending and receiving many emails with those that can prove for me by writing letters and bureaucratic documents that I am qualified enough to stay in the US. There were a number of great help and formal rejection letters with an ending written, Sincerely comma.

In the installation work, it changes its environment depending on the participant and the participant's physical position in the space. There are eight microphones placed inside and outside of the space and linked to the system which I’ve created. It is physically impossible to take every position in space. One has to move around and participate or observe what's causing and what is happening to the objects around them. The goal of this project is to elaborate the meaning of taking a position; after all, doing so alters the experience. Unlike a Rube Goldberg reaction, I am creating a network, or web, rather than a chain.
